Hi from North Carolina! Your analysis on Weber 's concerto no.1 has really helped me to play expressively...I wonder how you got that good at your staccato techniques...

Kathy's playing is truly inspirational. Her tutor videos are invaluable to anyone seriously studying clarinet and her musicianship superb. Her recent playing of Piazzolla's Histoire of Tango was truly amazing. These pieces are complex and yet she played with such virtuosity and depth of feeling, the video is a real 'must watch' for any clarinetist. Thank you Kathy for your time and effort in passing on your knowledge and instruction.

Dear Kathy, this is what making a difference in the world is all about! Spectacular site. Loved the full Spohr Concerto no.1. I've been playing clarinet for 1 year (I'm 50) and spend time everyday learning and growing in music. My sincere thanks for sharing your talent and techniques with all of us! I will, of course, make a donation so you can continue to inspire the rest of us! Jill, Santa Cruz, California USA

Kathy- Thank you so much for this very useful website. I started at university as a clarinet major, but changed majors after my freshman year. My clarinet then sat in its case for 35 years. As I have been working to regain my former ability, I decided to look for different practice methods and techniques. Then I ran across your website. I have changed how I practice and appreciate the new skills I am learning. Thank you again. Debi Austin, TX

I was on YouTube looking for Milhaud pieces and found your Master's recital playing of his Clarinet Concerto. I played the Sonatina in college, and didn't know about this piece. You've put together a beautiful and helpful website, and you are very kind and generous to share so much information as well as your love of music. Thank you!

Hi Kathy, Like Jennifer, I recently returned to the clarinet after many years. Played in high school but never got beyond Weber's Concertino. I wish "You Tube" was around then. I love and appreciate what you do. I play on a Selmer Series 9 clarinet that my father bought me when I was 10. Are you familiar with Ridenour's new Lirique clarinet? I am 65 years old and trying to decide rather or not I should remove my red corvette from my bucket list and replace it with a new quality clarinet. Thanks Ron

Kathy... Hello from Oregon. Loved the lessons. I've always wanted to pick up the clarinet. Used to play sax in jazz bands as a kid bu never owned a clarinet. Is it too late for an old duffer to build some chops?
